Brigid Bandomer came to quantum biology the hard way — as a skeptical nurse who became a chronic patient. After decades working in home health nursing and hospital systems, a sudden severe autoimmune condition upended her life and eventually landed her at the Chung Institute, where she began healing through modalities she never would have considered before: autonomic response testing, acupuncture, ozone therapy, neural therapy, and low-dose immunotherapy. What started as a reluctant last resort became a profound reorientation of how she understands health, healing, and the human body.

In this conversation, Brigid and Meredith explore what it looks like when a trained nurse starts seeing her clinical education through the lens of quantum biology — and finds that the two have more in common than modern medicine tends to acknowledge.

What we get into:

Brigid’s journey from home health nursing through a severe autoimmune illness and into energetic medicine — and the hard-won healing that followed. How the Chung Institute uses Dietrich Klinghardt’s Autonomic Response Testing to both identify issues and match treatments to individual patients, and why Brigid describes the approach as “not woo-woo, but true healing.” The nursing theorists — Florence Nightingale and Jean Watson — who were describing human-environment interactions, bioenergetics, and whole-person care long before quantum biology had a language for it, and why Brigid believes quantum biology finally gives those ideas the scientific grounding they deserve.

The conversation also moves through their shared experience at the Quantum Biology Forum at Northwell Health in Silver Spring, Maryland — a room of about 100 people where hard scientists, frequency-based practitioners, and a biotech company presenting lab-grown lung lobes all shared the same agenda. Meredith and Brigid reflect on what it felt like to watch those worlds converge, the gap that still exists between scientific theory and practical application, and why practitioners who rigorously document their outcomes are getting a seat at that table.

They go deep on children and the built environment — from dysregulated classrooms and shortened recesses to teachers whose offices back up to the school’s entire electrical infrastructure — and what applied quantum biology practitioners can offer in that conversation. And Brigid shares what she now does before and after every client session that she believes is just as important as washing her hands ever was in nursing.

Also discussed: the ethics of biotechnology interventions, what it might mean to graft a lab-printed lung onto a human body, and why both Brigid and Meredith think “free health” — sunlight, earthing, community, breath, clean water — needs to be the foundation before anything else is added.

Brigid is currently writing a paper on nursing theory and quantum biology for the Journal of Holistic Nursing, contributing to research documentation at the Chung Institute, and working on a children’s book introducing these principles to young readers. She works with clients through her practice at sunlighthealthcoaching.com and is a member of the QBC community.
